European and RCVS Recognised Veterinary Specialist (internal medicine)
Rory graduated from the National University of Ireland, University College Dublin in 1999 and following a year there as an intern in small animal medicine, Rory spent two years in first opinion small animal practice in London. He then moved to the University of Glasgow Small animal Hospital, initially as a resident in small animal medicine, and ultimately as senior lecturer in internal medicine and head of the small animal medicine service. Rory spent three enjoyable years as a senior clinician at Dick White Referrals prior to joining the team at Wear Referrals

Rory am fascinated by all aspects of internal medicine, and particularly enjoy the complexities involving in the investigation of challenging internal medicine cases. Perhaps it is not surprise therefore that his research interests have particularly focused on novel applications of diagnostic tests. This research has been published widely in peer-reviewed journals and Rory has been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to lecture to audiences around the world.

Rory is very much looking forward to working with the existing team at Wear Referrals in order to continue to provide a superb level of care to pets and their owners.
