PURPOSE
To ensure the smooth running of the reception area whilst providing a professional image.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Customer service experience is essential.
Good Telephone skills essential
Basic vet terminology understanding
Comfortable with animals
Able to work as part of a team
Computer literate

OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Register clients correctly
Arrange appointments
Assess urgency of referral
Calm agitated clients
Format and send referral letters
Deal with telephone enquiries
Check in arriving clients, relax them whilst waiting, making sure have all correct information.
Discuss payment and take payments
Discuss insurance
Deal with emails
Coordinate lab results
Liaise with vets/ nurses
Update files
Document complaints
Clerical and admin work
Ensure clients calls followed up and returned
Tasking vets
Scanning consent forms
Calling clients and answering pre visit questions
Completing claim forms payable to clients
